Rohit Sharma recently became the father of a baby girl. The right-handed batsman, who was on an Australian tour, skipped the ongoing fourth and final Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), to be with his wife and newborn baby. The Indian opener also shared Maroon 5’s hit song 'Girls Like You’. “I spent last night On the last flight to you Took a whole day up Trying to get way up Baby Samaira,” Rohit tweeted on his official handle along with a picture. In the photo, Rohit can be seen with wife Ritika Sajdeh and daughter Samaira.

Rohit was recalled into the playing XI after missing the second Test at Perth due to an injury. He did well in the first innings of third Test, scoring an unbeaten 63. As team India headed to Sydney for the final Test, Rohit took a flight to Mumbai. The 30-year-old will join the Indian cricket team back on January 08, as per a statement by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

The three-match One-Day International (ODI) series between India and Australia commences on January 12 at Sydney. After the Australia tour, India will travel to New Zealand for five-match ODI and three-match T20I series.
