Ricky Ponting has been a part of the Indian Premier League coaching setup for a very long time. After retiring from the league, Ponting joined the Mumbai Indians as the head coach in 2015. The former Australian captain helped MI win the Indian Premier League titles in 2015 and 2017. Ponting later joined Delhi Capitals in 2018 and helped them reach the playoffs in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
