The Bangalore batsmen lost their way batting first with only Parthiv Patel showing some resistance with a well taken 67. Shreyas Gopal was a key figure in the home side’s bowling unit picking up three wickets. In reply, Rajasthan won the game comfortably with 7 wickets which was also their first win of the season.

Rajasthan did well to defend a target of 165 runs against a strong batting unit of Royal Challengers Bangalore. Sanju Samson’s 92 helped Rajasthan Royals put in a massive total of 217/4 in their quota of twenty overs as the hapless Bangalore bowling struggled. The home team did try and make a contest of the game with a fifty from Virat Kohli and some late exuberance from Mandeep Singh, but they ended up on the losing side.
RR vs RCB – May 20, 2015 – Sahara Stadium, Pune – RCB won by 71 runs
Man of the match AB De Villiers put in an exhibition of trademark T20 shots for the Pune crowd to feast upon and young Indian batsman Mandeep Singh on the other end provided good support helping RCB set a target of 181. The RCB bowling unit were disciplined and barring Mitchell Starc all picked up a brace each assisting the team in register a 71-run win in the 2015 IPL Eliminator.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore were denied a win by the rain gods as their 200 runs on board in the first innings proved to be of little consequence. AB De Villiers made 57, and Sarfaraz Khan smashed a 21 ball 45 in the death overs to put RCB in command. But the second innings never saw the light of the day as heavy rains played spoilsport.
Both sides have to win their remaining games, but for Rajasthan, the value of a win is definitely going to be more compared to that of the home team.
