Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Mumbai Indians Highlights, IPL 2023: Virat Kohli, Faf Du Plessis Propell RCB to Smashing 8-Wicket Victory

Its all over for Mumbai Indians and it happened really quickly. Virat Kohli and Faf Du Plessis has demolished the MI bowlers and the win came in just 16.2 overs and with total conviction that RCB were the batter team today. MI have to really regroup and plan about their bowling. RCB, meanwhile can enjoy the winning start. 

Virat Kohli and Faf Du Plessis has launched an assault on the MI bowlers as RCB cruise to half-centuries in no time and take RCB to a winning position. They will want to finish the game by delivering the killer blow now. 

A solid powerplay for RCB as Virat Kohli and Faf Du Plessis smash the likes of Jason Behrendorff and Jofra Archer in the powerplay to take the score beyond 50. With still 10 wickets in hand, they can control the innings from here. 

RCB openers Faf Du Plessis and Virat Kohli look to get a steady start in the powerplay. Meanwhile MI uses the impact player rule and bring in Jason Behrendorff replacing Suryakumar Yadav. 

Stunning effort from Tilak Varma as his 84*(46) takes MI to a very comfortable position from where they can compete after initial crisis. Tilak batted throughout the innings and accelerated at the right moment to take the score to a respectable place. Stay tuned as we return with the RCB chase. 

Tilak Varma is batting on 63 from 39 deliveries and looking to give MI a strong finish, taking them to a respectable and competitive total at the end of 20 overs. With two overs to go, it is time to accelerate. 

Out! Nehal Wadhera's brave innings comes to an end as he perishes by hitting one from Karn Sharma to Virat Kohli at long on. He struck to back-to-back sixes but failed to clear the third one. 

Sudden setback for RCB, Reece Topley hurts his right shoulder during fielding and looked in pain. The English quick had to be walked-off. 

Out! No respite for MI as this time captain Rohit Sharma gets dismissed. Tries to play from the crease and nicks one from Akash Deep to the wicketkeeper. MI's powerplay is going nowhere as they lose three quick wickets with almost little to no runs on board. 

Out!  Cameron Green's debut doesn't go very well with the bat as he gets cleaned up by Reece topley. Topley strikes in quick succession after Mohammed Siraj scalped the wicket of Ishan Kishan. Mumbai Indians run into trouble early.
