RCB vs KKR Highlights of VIVO IPL 2021: Royal Challengers Bangalore Beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 38 Runs

Royal Challengers Bangalore win by 38 runs! Another fine win for RCB. Three in three for the Virat Kohli-led side. Meanwhile, Knight Riders slip to their second defeat of the season. Good all-round performance this by RCB.

In three overs Knight Riders need 59 more runs to win. This is difficult but possible especially with Andre Russell in the middle. He is batting on 23 off 11 balls.

Wicket! Harshal Patel breaks the partnership as he gets the dangerous Eoin Morgan. The KKR captain looked good during his stay but tried a shot too many and after being dropped earlier was caught by Virat Kohli this time around. Morgan c Kohli b Harshal Patel 29(23).

Halfway through and Knight Riders continue to be in deep trouble. RCB bowlers continue to chip away with wickets. Meanwhile, Eoin Morgan and Shakib Al Hasan are in the middle and face an uphill task.

Spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar strike in tandem and put Bangalore in further control. Knight Riders continue to slide. Nitish Rana and Rahul Tripathi are back in the hunt.

RCB finish with a mammoth total on the board. What a strong this by RCB, last five overs fetched them 70 runs as Knight Riders bowlers were caught completely off-guard. 

That's half-century up for AB de Villiers. He brings it with a six off Harbhajan Singh. Expensive over this from the spinner, he concedes 18 runs. RCB in total control at the moment.

AB de Villiers has arrived at the crease. Just four overs remaining now and RCB will be looking for the final onslaught. Glenn Maxwell is well-set and batting on 68 off 42 balls.

Fifty for Maxwell! Glenn Maxwell has completed his half-century. It took him just 28 balls to reach the landmark. Remember he came in at a difficult position with RCB two down in the second over. And has since then lead the counterattack superbly.

The partnership between Devdutt Padikal and Glenn Maxwell is now worth  58 off 38 balls. These two have helped RCB recover from a wobbly start. Meanwhile, Eoin Morgan has used five bowlers thus far, three of which have been spinners.

Glenn Maxwell has joined Devdutt Padikkal in the middle. RCB desperately want Maxwell to fire all cylinders today. So far he has looked in good touch and has already smashed three fours and a six. Meanwhile, it is end of powerplay overs and safe to say after losing two early wickets RCB have somewhat bounced back.

Double Blow! What a start this for Knight Riders. Varun Chakravarthy strikes twice in his first over. First he had Virat Kohli caught near cover and then bowled Rajat Patidar. RCB found themselves in trouble early on.
