South African pacer Chris Morris bagged a big amount of 10 crores in IPL 2020 auctions and is all set to play for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the forthcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. The Proteas player is veteran of T20 cricket and has featured in many prominent T20 leagues around the world. He has also been the part of IPL team in previous editions. In 2019, the all-rounder was the part of Delhi Capitals but didn’t enjoy a sensational season. However, the 31-year old will now play for the Virat Kohli-led side and will be expected to come good. Morris was released by Delhi Capitals ahead of the auction this year due to his low-key performances in 2019. But the South African bowling all-rounder who made a name from the IPL is always an asset when it comes to death bowling. He also has the ability to take wickets regularly and although he is injury-prone, franchises might want to look at his recent form, taking 44 wickets at 24.86 and an economy rate of 8.42 in 36 T20I games.
The 2020 IPL players auction has been underway in Kolkata and all the eight franchises will look to get the best bunch of players in order to build a strong squad.
