CSK are likely to keep Jadeja in No.1 retention, Gaikwad in No.2 retention, and Pathirana in No.3 retention, falling under the INR 18 Crore, INR 14 Crore, and INR 11 Crore slabs, respectively.
All the above-mentioned players are the most expected selection with Jadeja being a long-time CSK loyalist and former franchise captain, while Gaikwad is their current skipper and a future star. Pathirana, who made his mark in cricket after CSK unearthed the pacer, is likely to become the backbone of the attack moving forward. Other players who CSK are eying as retentions are Shivam Dube and Devon Conway.
