The Indian skipper came out of the dressing room and was seen having a chat with the fourth umpire at the boundary ropes. However, the 31-year old was surely not impressed with the explanation and went back to the dressing room, shaking his head. Later, West Indies’ captain Kieron Pollard also had a brief conversation with the umpire and he didn’t look amused either.

Ravindra Jadeja got run-out in a bizarre manner during the first innings of India vs West Indies opening ODI which certainly didn't impress Virat Kohli, Kieron Pollard and several netizens. In the fourth delivery of the 48th over, the all-rounder tried to sneak a single after chipping the ball to silly mid-off. However, Roston Chase hit the stumps at the bowler’s end Jadeja was clearly short of his crease. The interesting thing was that the stand-in umpire Shaun George didn’t look interested at first and the Caribbean fielders didn’t either make a strong appeal. However, the decision was sent upstairs only when the replay appeared on the big screen and Jadeja was finally adjudged out. Speaking of the match, West Indies won the toss and opted to bat first. Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer brought up their respective half-centuries as the home side mustered 288/8 in the first innings of the match. The pitch is certainly assisting the spinners and the Men in Maroon will need to put up a decent batting performance in order to clinch the match and take a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series.
