Ravindra Jadeja Responds to Trolls With the Wicket of Virat Kohli During CSK vs RCB IPL 2018 Match
Against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Jadeja bounded back in style and showed his worth.
After Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), fans were not happy Ravindra Jadeja’s performance. As CSK lost the match by six wickets, the fans targeted Jadeja for his all-around poor performance. The all-rounder faced the brunt after he dropped Knight Riders opener, Sunil Narine, not once but twice. Fielding at the mid-on, Jadeja dropped Narine on consecutive deliveries on the bowling off KM Asif. Narine eventually went on to score 32 off just 20 balls.
Not just in the field, Jadeja had a poor outing with both and bat as well. While batting Jadeja failed to up the ante and managed to score run-a-ball 12. With the ball, the all-rounder conceded 39 runs in his four overs, though he picked a wicket of Narine. After the match, Jadeja was trolled mercilessly and questioned his place in the team.
However, against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Jadeja bounded back in style and showed his worth. The spinner picked important wicket of RCB skipper Virat Kohli on his first ball. In the sixth over, with RCB’s score reading 47 for one, Jadeja with an arm ball knocked over Kohli’s off stump. Not just Kohli’s wicket, Jadeja returned with figures of 3/18 in his quota of four overs. Besides Kohli, Jadeja removed Parthiv Patel, who scored 53, and Mandeep Singh.
And then Twitterati hailed Jadeja!!!
Jadeja is a champion now!!!
From worse to best!
Never underestimate the 'power of a CSK all-rounder'
Run, Jadeja haters, run!
In ten matches (including the CSK vs RCB) this IPL season, Jadeja has scored 59 runs. Besides it, he has picked six wickets. Jadeja apart from MS Dhoni and Suresh Raine was retained by the franchise ahead of the IPL 2018 auction. Jadeja over the years has been a vital cog in the CSK outfit.
