During the 40th ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 match between India and Bangladesh, Manjrekar had said, “I am not a big fan of bits and pieces players which Jadeja is at this point of his career in 50 over cricket. In the test match, he is a pure bowler. But in 50 over cricket, I would rather have a batsman and a spinner." Prior to this, Manjrekar got trolled for criticising MS Dhoni. The fans got so irritated with him that a lot of them even muted their television sets while Manjrekar was handling duties on the mic.
