Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan went to play for the Big Bash League 2018-19 for Adelaide Strikers despite that fact that his father passed away on the previous day. Keeping aside his personal loss, the leg-spinner decided to put his best foot forward and do the best for his team. The Afghani leg-spinner snapped a couple of wickets for his side during the match against Sydney Thunder on the New Year’s eve. “‪Today I lost the most important person in my life,father-the everlasting candle.Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. ‪Now I know why u always asked me to be strong,bcz u knew that today I would need the strength to bear your loss.Will be always in my🤲🏼I miss u #plztalktomeOnce😢😢,” read Rashid Khan’s post. But on  the eve of the match, he gave his best playing a crucial role in the Striker’s 20-run win over Sydney Thunder. Check out video of the his wickets below. Alex Carey who smashed 50 runs for the side had words of praises for the leg-spinner. “I'd like to think we've all welcomed him here in Adelaide into our family. He's one of our brothers in the side, he's one of the best players in the world at cricket but just the person he is - I don't have high enough words (for him)," Carey told cricket.com.au.
