With the presence of players like Jofra Archer, Ben Stokes, Steve Smith and Jos Buttler, it was certain that Rajasthan Royals will go for the Indian players in the IPL 2020 auctions and that’s exactly what happened. They bagged the services of some veteran Indian players like Robin Uthappa, Jaydev Unadkat along with some young guns like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Anuj Rawat. Jaiswal, especially, became the talk of the town as he is a son of a panipuri seller and bagged 2.4 crores in the auctions. In the last season of the mega tournaments, the Royals had a disappointing season where they finished at the penultimate position. However, with the new set-up, they will look to put up a better performance. The tournament will begin on March 19, 2019, and all the eight teams must leave no stones unturned to clinch the title and add the prestigious trophy in their cabinet.
