Fans turned out in huge numbers to watch the match between India and Sri Lanka earlier today. Just when Indian won the toss and elected to bowl, the Rain Gods played a spoilsport as it started pouring relentlessly. While the waiting game for the fans, they lit up the ground by singing 'Vande Mataram' in full sync. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the rains could not dampen the spirits of the crowd. The fans tuned on the flashlight of the mobile phone and sung Vande Mataram. The official account of the BCCI shared the video on social media. The video was shared by the official handle of the BCCI and captioned the same with the words, “Guwahati, you beauty #INDvSL”. Check out the video of the incident below:

Talking about the match, the Indian team won the toss and elected to bowl first. Jasprit Bumrah and Shikhar Dhawan made a comeback into the squad after quite a long time. Bumrah was away from cricket due to stress fracture since September 2019. Whereas the Indian opener was dodging injuries for the whole year. Rohit Sharma has been rested from the T20I series after having a great year. However the game was called off after the groundsmen failed to put the ground in playing conditions for the team. The next match will be held  in Indore on January 7, 2020.
