Former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid's son has smashed a double century in an inter-zonal cricket tournament. Samit Dravid, National Cricket Academy's head Rahul Dravid's son, achieved the feat during Vice-President's XI vs Dharwad Zone match. The match was played in New Delhi. Samit scored 201 runs in the first innings of the match and followed it up with 94 runs in the second innings. Samit Dravid also took 3 wickets in Vice-President's XI vs Dharwad Zone match. During U-12 level cricket in Bengaluru in 2015, Rahul Dravid's son Samit had hit three half-centuries while playing for his school Mallya Aditi International. All his fifty helped his school to win the respective matches. In 2016, he joined Bangalore United Cricket Club. He hit the headlines after smashing 125-run knock against Frank Anthony Public School. Rahul Dravid is a former legendary Indian batsman. He was given the nickname of 'The Wall' as for his defensive batting. He also captained India in ICC Cricket World Cup 2007. He played 164 Tests, 344 ODIs and 1 T20I for India. In Tests, he smashed 13,288 runs. He also scored 15,284 runs in ODIs. In the only T20I game he played, he scored 31 runs.
Rahul Dravid retired from international cricket in 2012 after an astonishing career. He played with multiple legendary Indian cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, VVS Laxman, Virender Sehwag and others.
