One of the finest cricketers to play the game, Rahul Dravid was inducted in ICC’s Hall of fame on Thursday. Dravid was presented a memento, before India vs West Indies 5th ODI, by none other than Sunil Gavaskar. With the induction, Rahul Dravid has become the fifth Indian cricketer to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
In another proud moment for Rahul Dravid, the former Indian batsman was honoured with ICC’s Hall of Fame induction. The announcement about the same was made in July, this year.
The BCCI took to Twitter to congratulate Rahul Dravid. In the congratulatory message, the BCCI wrote, “Rahul Dravid becomes the 5th Indian to be inducted in the @ICC Hall of Fame. Congratulations to the legend on joining a list of all-time greats across generations.”

After his name was announced earlier this year, Rahul Dravid had said that he was honoured to be inducted. He said, “It’s a real honour and privilege to be inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame and be in the company of some of my heroes. Thank you to everyone for the support throughout my career.”
Rahul Dravid is currently involved with Indian cricket as the coach of India A and Under-19 team. With the induction in ICC Hall of Fame, The Wall has joined forces with Bishan Singh Bedi, Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev and Anil Kumble, who are the other four Indians in the elite list.
