Quinton De Kock Musters Fifty in His Maiden Test Innings on Indian Soil During Day 3 of India vs South Africa 1st Test

De Kock provided great support to Elgar and the pair is still going strong. De Kock is well settled in the crease and will aim to pile up a big score against India. Earlier in the day, Dean Elgar grabbed the limelight when he brought up his 12th Test ton. Skipper Faf du Plessis also played a decent hand and mustered 55 runs before falling prey to Ashwin.

Wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock joins the party with Dean Elgar and registers a half-century on his first Test innings in Indian soil. South Africa were reeling at 178/5 when De Kock came into bat in the Day 3 of India vs South Africa 1st Test. The batsmen showed great intent and carried the innings forward with Dean Elgar who is batting on 100 plus. Coming to bat at number seven in India is not an ideal situation as the ball gets old and the duo of Ravi Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja gets more lethal. In the last session of Day 3, South Africa will look bat with resilience without losing any more wickets. While Ashwin and Co. will aim to go through the opposition tail and wrap up the innings. The ball is turning sharp and the third day of Visakhapatnam doesn’t seem to be batting friendly. So, it will be interesting to see that, how far the visitors can go.
