The Pakistan Super League Player Draft 2018 (PSL T20) is underway in Islamabad. Ahead of the PSL 2019, franchise released some of the players and now will add some more to their roster. Ahead of the PSL draft, each franchise was allowed to retain up to a maximum of ten players from the previous squad. The released players are part of the PSL T20 2018 Draft pool. Meanwhile, over 600 foreign and local players are part of the PSL Player Draft which has been divided into Platinum, Diamond, Gold, Silver and Emerging rosters. Interestingly, top cricketers like AB de Villiers and Steve Smith will feature in the PSL T20 for the first time. Apart from De Villiers and Smith, Chris Lynn, Brendon McCullum, Corey Anderson, Colin Munro, Luke Ronchi, Dwayne Bravo, Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard, Imran Tahir, Mitchell McClenaghan, Thisara Perera, Rashid Khan, and Colin Ingram are part of the PSL T20 Draft as well. PSL Players Draft: List of Players Available for Pakistan Super League T20 2019

The maximum squad size for each franchise has been set to 16 players, that is three players from Platinum, three from Diamond and as many from Gold while five from Silver and two Emerging players.

The fourth season of PSL T20 is scheduled to begin from February 14 onwards. In the upcoming season, at least eight matches will be played in Pakistan and rest in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It will be interesting to see how many foreign players will travel to Pakistan for the matches. Steve Smith has already made it clear that he will feature only for the matches in the UAE.
