Prithvi Shaw boarded the flight to Australia after breaking a plethora of record against West Indies in the home series. However he the Mumbai batsman suffered from an ankle injury during the match with Cricket Australia while attempting a catch. Shaw had twisted his ankle and the batsman was ruled out from the Test series against Australia. He batsman remained away from action for about three months. However, now the Mumbai batsman has begun practising for the domestic season ahead. The batsman was spotted in the nets after a three-month-long break. As per reports, Shaw will play the T20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for Mumbai. The youngster will also play for Delhi Capitals for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League 12. Prithvi might have made a comeback but rues about the fact that he had to miss the Australian series. While speaking to a newspaper he said that he was upset missing out on the opportunity. “I felt sad as it was a good opportunity for me to play the quality Australian bowling line-up. I was a bit upset. But some things aren’t in your hands. Now I’m looking forward to the Mushtaq Ali tournament to find my touch and gain some confidence back.” The batsman then went to the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for a rehab programme.
