Mumbai batsman Prithvi Shaw continues to impress one and all with his batting. The Under-19 World Cup winning captain has scored his first hundred in a first class match scoring a 61-ball hundred on Sunday in the match against Railways in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. Shaw's fellow batsman Shreyas Iyer also scored a century and hit 144 runs.

The 18-year-old prodigy, who many believe is ready to represent India in the senior side, once again proved his mettle after this century. This quick-fire innings involved 14 boundaries and 6 sixes. Mumbai captain Ajinkya Rahane was dismissed early in the innings but that did not stop the prolific Shaw from scoring at a brisk pace. Talking about this match, the hundreds by Prithvi Shaw (129) and Shreyas Iyer (144), and some late hitting by Suryakumar Yadav and Dinesh Lad, ensured that Mumbai reach the magic figure of 400/5 runs in 50 overs. Mumbai has now become only the second team to score or go past the total of 400 in a Vijay Hazare trophy match. Madhya Pradesh had scored 412 runs in the 2010 edition against Railways which is a record for Vijay Hazare tournament.
