Prithvi Shaw put up a magnificent show scoring a century on his debut and shattering a plethora of records on the first day of the Test match between India and West Indies at the Saurashtra Cricket Association in Rajkot. The right-handed batsman got out 134 runs scoring 19 fours and no sixes. After the day 1 got over, Prithvi Shaw spoke to the broadcasters and was seen thanking everyone who supported him throughout his journey. Cheteshwar Pujara also scored a half-century. At the end of the day’s play, India at the stumps is on 364 for the loss of four wickets. Prithvi while speaking to the broadcaster also dedicated his maiden to his father. The 18-year-old also said that he was nervous in the beginning but then he tried to play his natural game. “Feeling really good now, after the hundred. I was a bit nervous to start off but when I got in, I got comfortable. I just tried to play my natural game. I was just thinking that it's another game for me and then it just happened. I played the balls on merit and kept going from there on. I was thinking about my Dad, as he has sacrificed a lot for me. First hundred, it's all for him,” said Shaw.
