As per Times Of India, with DC looking to revamp its support staff, Amre and the management have decided to end their nine-year-long working relationship. Amre has been critical for bringing local domestic talent into DC, starting with Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Khaleel Ahmed, and Prithvi Shaw, who have been the backbone of the franchise over the years. IPL 2024 was Amre's final year in his four-year contract, after which all concerned parties decided not to renew.

DC have already named Hemang Badani, and Venugopal Rao as new head coach and Director of Cricket, taking over roles from Ricky Ponting and Sourav Ganguly respectively. The report further suggests that GMR, who will run operations over at DC for the upcoming two years, might give Amre another role within their ecosystem, and not directly related to DC. Heinrich Klaasen Set to Be First Retention Of Sunrisers Hyderabad With 23 Crore INR Ahead of IPL 2025 Mega Auction; Pat Cummins, Abhishek Sharma to be Second and Third Retentions: Report.
