What drama! Peshawar Zalmi have won this match but by just one run. Anwar Ali smashed a six on penultimate ball. Last ball he found the fielder near long-on, who dropped him. But the fielder did well to get back on his feet and throw the ball towards non-striker's end. Mir Hamza was eventually run-out.

It is the historic time in Pakistan Super League as the league returns to the country. Last season, we saw final being played in Lahore. However, this time around, apart from final in Karachi, two Eliminators will take place in Lahore. So, a total of three PSL 2018 matches will be held in Pakistan. And tonight, the first of those matches takes place as Peshawar Zalmi face Quetta Gladiators at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The winner of this contest will take on Karachi Kings in Eliminator 2. This will be the third encounter between these two sides this season with both of them having won one of the previous matches. In the first match this season, Peshawar Zalmi emerged victorious by five wickets. However, in the second match, Quetta Gladiators took revenge of the defeat and won the game by six wickets while chasing down 158. At the end of the league stage, both teams finished at ten points from ten matches.

There is a possibility of rains affecting the Eliminator 1 between Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators. Fans will be eager to catch some top quality cricket on their home soil and thus will be praying for rain to stay away.

Both the teams have lost some top players as they refused to travel to Pakistan. But it is Quetta Gladiators who have been most affected with top performing all-rounder Shane Watson staying away along with Kevin Pietersen.
