Punjab Kings have made a winning start to their IPL 2024 campaign. Shikhar Dhawan and co were superb with the ball as they put the brakes on Delhi's scoring for a good part of the first innings by taking wickets at regular intervals before an Abishek Porel special helped Rishabh Pant and co score 174 runs. Later on, a powerful batting performance led by Sam Curran (63) and Liam Livingstone (38*) helped the Punjab Kings win the game with four balls to spare. For Delhi Capitals, it was Pant's return which expectedly gathered the limelight and deservedly so as the wicketkeeper-batter turned out to be a glaring example of grit and determination. 

And Punjab Kings have had a winning start to their IPL 2024 campaign! And this chase has been powered by two Englishmen--Sam Curran and Liam Livingstone. Shikhar Dhawan and his team have spoiled Rishabh Pant's return as Delhi Capitals suffer a loss to begin their season.

What a start this is from Punjab Kings! Both Shikhar Dhawan and Jonny Bairstow have attacked Khaleel Ahmed from the outset and scored 17 runs off the first over of this run chase.
