After bagging a whopping 15.5 crores by Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2020 player auction, Australian pacer Pat Cummins has revealed his plans with the big money he bagged. The speedster has said that he will try “not to change” and will be continuing to play the gentlemen’s game for the love for the sport. On being asked about his plans with the money, the right-arm fast bowler said that his girlfriend Becky Boston was delighted by the news and they planned to buy some more toys for their pet dog. In the auctions held on December 19, Cummins became the most expensive foreign player in the tournament’s history. He overtook England all-rounder Ben Stokes who bagged 14.5 crore by Rising Pune Supergiant in 2017. Among the most expensive player overall, the bowler is just behind Yuvraj Singh who got 16 crores by Delhi Daredevils in 2015 edition of the tournament. As of now, Cummins is participating in the three-match Test series against New Zealand which the Aussies are leading 1-0. The second clash will be a boxing day Test match which will get underway on December 26. Cummins will eye to continue his good run in order to go into the tournament with great form. He will be rejoining KKR and will look to guide the Dinesh Karthik-led team to their third IPL title.
