The Indian Premier League (IPL) teams are currently regrouping their teams of backroom staff ahead of the start of a new cycle and the upcoming mega auction 2024.  The new retention rules and purse limit has already been announced and the teams are currently working them out in order to get the best value from their retentions. After the Indian National Cricket Team won the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, Rahul Dravid and his team of support staff have left their position and most of them have joined different franchises. Rahul Dravid has been appointed by the Rajasthan Royals as their head coach and Vikram Rathour has joined the same franchise as well. According to Cricbuzz, Mhambrey, who guided Indian bowlers to excel across formats, was expected to follow suit and join the Rajasthan Royals as well. However, Cricbuzz has learned that he is set to join the Mumbai Indians, a franchise he previously worked with before taking on roles with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
