With his superb knock, the Pak batsman has entered the list of cricketers who scored most runs in a single World Cup tournament before turning 25. 24-year-old Babar has scored 333 runs in ongoing ICC World Cup 2019 so far, with two half-centuries and one century in six matches he played for his team. Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting holds the third spot while South Africa’s former cricketer is on the third place in the list. Ponting scored 354 runs in 1999 World Cup at the age of 24, while South Africa’s former cricketer AB de Villiers had hit 372 runs in World Cup 2007 when he was 23-year-old. The list is topped by Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, who made 523 runs in the 1996 World Cup at the age of 22.

Pakistan ended the winning streak for New Zealand, who were unbeaten ICC World Cup 2019 tournament before the loss against Pakistan. Pakistan will now face Afghanistan and Bangladesh on June 29 and July 5 respectively. Pakistan currently holds sixth position on the ICC CWC 2019 points table with seven points in seven matches.
