Number ranked side in T20 Internationals Pakistan will look to cement their place on top of the rankings as they take on Australia and Zimbabwe in the tri-nation series. The T20I tri-series will take place in Zimbabwe. Harare Sports Club in Harare will be the lone venue for the tri-series. While Pakistan occupies the numero uno spot, Australia are at third place while Zimbabwe find themselves at 12th. Pakistan come into the tri-series with a 2-0 win over Scotland last month. Australia, on the other hand, suffered a morale-shaking defeat against England in one-off T20I following the 5-0 whitewash in One-Day Internationals (ODIs). Meanwhile, the Aaron Finch-led side will be hoping to regain the lost touch. Zimbabwe come into the hand having not played much of the T20Is. Their last series was against Afghanistan, which they lost 0-2.

The format of the tri-series is simple. Teams will face-off each other twice and the two sides after the round-robin will then qualify for the finals. The summit clash will take place on July 08. Below is the full schedule of Zimbabwe triangular series.

Hosts Zimbabwe head into the series with some of the top players having pulled out of the tournament following the ongoing tussle with the board over the non-payment of salaries. Brendan Taylor, Sikandar Raza, Graeme Cremer, Sean Williams and Craig Ervine are some of the players who decided against playing. Out of these, Raza is playing in the Global T20 in Canada whole restive been omitted. Meanwhile, the board has named Hamilton Masakadza as the captain of the side.
