PAK Win By 99 Runs | Pakistan vs Zimbabwe Highlights of 3rd ODI 2024: Green Shirts Secure Emphatic Victory to Seal Series 2-1

Haris Rauf has castled Clive Madande and it is a series win for Pakistan! An amazing comeback after they were defeated via the DLS method in the series opener! Chasing 304 to win, Zimbabwe have been bowled out for 204 with Saim Ayub, Aamir Jamal, Haris Rauf and Abrar Ahmed taking two wickets each. Kamran Ghulam and Faisal Akram got one each. Earlier, Kamran Ghulam struck his first century in ODIs to propel Pakistan to a fighting 303/6. This is a second consecutive series win for Pakistan after they beat Australia Down Under earlier this year. They are shaping up well for the Champions Trophy 2025.

After 33 overs, Zimbabwe find themselves at 162/6 and at this point, Pakistan are well and truly on top here. Pakistan have not allowed Zimbabwe to settle down and have partnerships that could help them to chase down the target and the hosts are under pressure. But it is not over until it is over!

FIFTY for Craig Ervine! The left-hander has played a good knock here and has kept Zimbabwe in the run-chase. A captain's knock this and he needs to continue and make it big from here on. 

So 20 overs are done and Zimbabwe have managed to score 100 but not without losing four wickets. Pakistan have done well to put pressure on the hosts but Zimbabwe have two of their most experienced players in Sikandar Raza and Craig Ervine in the middle. A big partnership and this game can become interesting. 

Zimbabwe delivered a better batting performance in the 3rd ODI, but with three wickets Pakistan will be confident to win this decider. A lot depends on this partnership.

Out! Perfect start for Pakistan as Saim Ayub picks up a wicket in the third over of the inning. Half tracker outside off and Gumbie rocks back to pull, he does not keep it down and hits it towards mid-wicket, Tahir dives to his right and takes it just above the ground. Openers Tadiwanashe Marumani and Joylord Gumbie are at the crease for Zimbabwe who will be chasing a 304-run target. Even though the Zimbabwe bowling has shinned in the tournament, the side struggled to score big runs against the talented Pakistan attack. At least one of the opener needs to score a century to get closer to the massive target. 

Half-century from Abdullah Shafique and a century from Kamran Ghulam put Pakistan in a strong position in the series decider. Saim Ayub, Mohammad Rizwan, and Tayyab Tahir also scored 30+ runs at a good pace for the visitors. Zimbabwe has a daunting task ahead to win their first ODI series against Pakistan.

HUNDRED! Kamran Ghulam has finally completed his maiden ODI hundred for Pakistan. Kamran Ghulam played a blissful knock which is indeed helping Pakistan. 

OUT! Pakistan skipper Mohammad Rizwan walks back to the dressing room. Pakistan brings up 200 but are now three down. Rizwan failed to get the desired elevation on the ball and hence, handed it straight to the fielder. Mohammad Rizwan c Dion Myres b Sikandar Raza 37 (47)

It's 70 70-run partnership for Pakistan in just 76 balls. Kamran Ghulam, taking control of the proceedings, has smashed four sixes and four boundaries so far in his fiery innings. Mohammad Rizwan enjoying the view at the moment and is happy to give strike to Ghulam who is closing in on his century. 

After Abdulla Shafique, Kamran Ghulam also completes his half-century. Speeding up the run-rate Ghulam smashed some beautiful boundaries to reach his half-century in the match. captain Mohammed Rizwan joined Ghulam after Shafique's dismissal.
