PAK-W Win by 31 Runs | Pakistan Women vs Sri Lanka Women Highlights of ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2024: Fatima Sana Leads Team to Emphatic Win After Nida Dar's Steady Batting Performance

Even though Pakistan started poorly, Nida Dar played steady inning of 23 runs and later Fatima Sana scored quickfire 32 runs to put  a challenging total against Sri Lanka. Needing six runs per over, the target seemed easy, but after Chamari's wicket, the Sri Lankan side failed to make comeback in the match and lost by 31 runs. Hats off to Fatima Sana and her team who silenced their critics with a great performance on the field. 

Behind Nida Dar and Fatima Sana's batting performance Pakkistann ide posted a good total, After Chamari's wicket, the Sri Lankan side was never in the game as Pakistan bowlers dominated the second inning.

The Pakistan women's team is closer to an impressive win. After coming back from the poor start, the side put up an excellent batting performance scoring 118 runs. Defending the total also, the side now has picked up five wickets restricting the flow of runs. 

Vishmi Gunaratne is playing the anchor role for Sri Lanka but has no support. Pakistan in complete control of the match.

Earlier in the opening match of the competition, the Bangladesh Women’s team successfully defended 119 runs against the Scotland side. It will be interesting to see whether the Pakistan side does the same against Chamari Athapaththu and co. Sri Lanka has a strong batting line-up though. 

The Pakistan women’s side, who was looking down and out in the early stages of the match put up a challenging total on the board. Nida Dar and Fatima Sana scored 23 and 32 runs to put up a respectable score. The Pakistan team’s bowlers now have something to defend. As for the Sri Lankan side, Chamari Athapaththu and Sugandika Kumari took three wickets each but the side couldn’t take advantage of early break-throughs.

Chamari Athapaththu leads her side with three wickets as Pakistan's batting order collapses like a 'house of cards'. Nida Dar provided some resistance but after her dismissal it's all Lankan dominance in the match. Can Pakistan cross the 100-run mark?

Nida Dar and Omaima Sohail had a great partnership going on but the wicket of the latter put Pakistan on the backfoot again. Tuba Hassan joins Nida Dar and will look to play for at least five more overs without losing a wicket.

The Sri Lanka side is in control early in the match picking up three quick wickets in the first six overs.  Sugandika Kumari dismissed both openers and Chamari Athapaththu took Sidra Ameen's wicket. Omaima Sohail, and Nida Dar at the crease now for Pakistan.
