OUT! Finally, James Anderson gets the wicket, his fifth. Three catches were dropped off his bowling in last one hour. But he finally gets Naseem Shah. This is his 29th five-wicket haul in Tests. England have enforced the follow-on as Pakistan trail by 310 runs.

OUT! Stuart Broad drops Azhar Ali, runs out Mohammad Abbas. Broad drops an easy catch at mid-on and then a mix-up between the two batsmen results in a run-out. But it was Broad with a direct hit at the striker's end. M Abbas run out (Broad) 1(10)

Ton up for Azhar Ali! That's hundred up for Azhar Ali, his 17th in Tests. He gets to the three-figure mark with a boundary. What a knock this has been. He is not finished yet and he knows it!

Play resumes after the tea break as Azhar Ali looks to continue his good work. He is now 12 runs away from his Test century. Meanwhile, the partnership between Azhar Ali and Mohammad Rizwan is now worth 100 runs.

TEA BREAK: That's tea on day three. Some respite for Pakistan as Azhar Ali puts up some fight. He is batting on 82 while Mohammad Rizwan is on 22. They have added 83 thus far for the sixth wicket as Pakistan now trails by 425 runs.

Azhar Ali has completed his half-century and giving him company is Mohammad Rizwan. The duo has added 57 for the sixth wicket as Pakistan trials by 451 runs.

OUT!  Just when we were talking about Pakistan's comeback, Dominic Bess ended Fawad Alam's resistance. Skipper Azhar Ali and Fawad Alam have assessed the conditions well and will like to guide Pakistan to safety. However, the overcast conditions are still making the red cherry talk. Also, the visitors are still trailing more than 500 runs. Hence, the duo still need to do a lot of work in order to bring their side back in the contest. 

Play resumes after the rain and in-between players had taken the lunch break as well. Pakistan continue to struggle in this Test as they trail by over 500 runs. Azhar Ali and Fawad Alam trying to stitch a partnership, a much-needed one for the visitors.

The rain is back and the covers are on. The Southampton weather doesn’t look cricket friendly at the moment. Nevertheless, with the conditions being overcast, the England bowlers will eye to take the remaining six wickets as soon as possible. However, skipper Azhar Ali has been trying to do the repair work with Fawad Alam and it be will be interesting to see if the duo can defy the odds or England will continue to dominate.

The second day of the match witnessed a batting exhibition by Zak Crawley and Jos Buttler. The duo toiled the Pakistan pacers all over the park and accumulated 359 runs for the fifth wicket. Crawley converted his maiden Test ton into a sensational double century (267) while Buttler scored a Test hundred after two years. Riding on the duo's effort, England declared at the massive first-innings score of 583-8. In reply, James Anderson scalped three wickets in his opening spell and dented the visitors further.
