Pakistan bowlers now look helpless and Zak Crawley and Jos Buttler play with ease. The partnership between the two is now worth 323, already a record for fifth wicket stand.

200 up for Zak Crawley: That's double century up for Zak Crawley. He gets to the milestone with an edge that ran towards the boundary. He is the third youngest to score a double century for England. LUNCH, Day 2: That's lunch on day two. 18 overs bowled in this session which was halted twice by rain. And England scored 41 runs, more importantly they didn't lose any wicket.

Century up for Jos Buttler: That's the hundred up for Jos Buttler. A ball earlier, he was given caught behind but DRS saved him and now he notches his second Test century.

Unlike how the day ended, Pakistan had started well. Shaheen Afridi removed Rory Burns early in the match dismissing the left-handed batsman for the third time in this series. But in came Zak Crawley and the youngster shared a fine 61-run stand with Dominic Sibley to steady the innings after England had opted to bat first. Sibley was removed by Yasir Shah, who also dismissed Ollie Pope. Captain Joe Root stuck for a while before Naseem Shah got rid of him with a perfect length delivery. Pakistan had England reeling at 127/4 at one stage but Buttler and Crawley ensured there were no other casualties. They carried on and took the score past 330 runs.

Jos Buttler was at the other end for most of Day 1 of the England vs Pakistan third Test match. Buttler and Crawley stitched the unbeaten partnership of 205 runs and grounded the Pakistan bowlers on an opening day. Buttler will be searching for his first Test hundred since 2018. The wicket-keeper batsman has not reached three figures since his century against India in Alastair Cook's farewell series in 2018 and will hope he can break that drought on day 2.

Zak Crawley was the star of the Day 1 and recorded his maiden Test hundred. the 22-year-old showed great composure and control in first steadying the ship after the early fall of Rory Burns before taking on the PAK bowlers. Crawley also became the third-youngest England cricketer after Alastair Cook and Ian Botham to score a Test century.
