South Africa were at 146/3 in 29.4 overs then and West Indies were looking to steal the moment. But they managed no wicket till the 43rd over and by the time they did, the Protea had raced to 280 runs. They made 330 in the 47th and finished at 408/5 at the end of 50 overs. South Africa returned with the ball and recorded few more feats by bundling West Indies for only 151 and recording a massive victory by 251 runs. Holder, who had conceded 104 in 10 overs – the worst figures in World Cups – scored 56 off 48 deliveries and that was the only good story for the Caribbean side.
