Meanwhile, Dhoni was left out of the T20I squads against Windies and the upcoming Australia tour. The former Indian captain will now be possibly seen in action in January 2019. India’s tour of Australia starts with a T20I series followed by Test series and then the ODI series.
Many believe that Dhoni’s T20I career is almost over, but as per selectors he was ‘rested’ as they are trying to find the second wicket-keeper. Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant were both named in squads against Windies and Australia.
