Noor Ahmad, 14, Is the Youngest Player to Go Under the Hammer in IPL 2020 Auction

Born on January 3rd 2005, Noor Ahmad has grabbed the headlines for being the youngest player to go under the hammer for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League.

At the age of 14 when the child has just crossed or would be all set to cross the fences of the school, this prodigy Noor Ahmed has impressed cricketing stalwarts from all around the world. Born on January 3rd 2005, Noor Ahmad has grabbed the headlines for being the youngest player to go under the hammer for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. The youngster has already undergone a trial with the Rajasthan Royals and has so far impressed Rahul Dravid. Hailing from Afghanistan, the spinner has already proven to be a head-turner and is expected to scale heights in future if he continues the way he is going currently. In December 2019, he was named in Afghanistan's squad for the 2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup and he scalped four wickets against India. During an interview with a popular website, he said, “Rahul Dravid was there and he saw my bowling and he was very impressed, which motivated me a lot. It helps your confidence when a legend like that shows faith in what you do.”

Like his family and fans back home, the youngster would also be hoping to get live in action during the IPL 2020. Talking about the auction for the IPL, a total of 332 players are all set to go under the hammer. This includes names like Jaydev Unadkat, Robin Uthappa and a few others.
