It's been almost 15 years that the former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly waved her jersey at the Lord’s, England after the team won the Natwest Trophy in 2002. Visuals of the same remain fresh in the archives of our memories.  After winning against England by 2 wickets, Sourav Ganguly quite unexpectedly waved his jersey in the air as if announcing the arrival of Indian cricket. The act was the repetition of Andrew Flintoff who waved his t-shit at Wankhede, Mumbai earlier that year. Now, Ganguly is at the Lord’s once again and it seems like former England captain Naseer Hussain can’t forget his actions.

The former Indian captain posted a picture from the balcony of Lord’s on social media. Dressed in a formal attire, Ganguly captioned the snap, “Back at lords ..this is where career started ..” Naseer Hussain had quite an unexpected reply for the former skipper.

Naseer Hussain responded and wrote, “You’re on that balcony again ... nice to see you with your shirt on !!.”

However, Ganguly now regrets that incident. On various occasions, Dada has said that he will never repeat the act again. At the launch of his book, A Century is Not Enough the former skipper said, “I regretted waving the shirt at Lord’s. I wouldn’t do that again, you know. My daughter sees it now and says ‘why did you do that?’. And I say, ‘because I was happy we won,” expressed Sourav Ganguly.

Ganguly further added, “I regret it because there are better ways of showing your happiness of beating England at Lords. I’m not that type of person who would take their shirt off and get agitated. I’m normally very docile, but that cricket field turned me differently.”
