Delhi Capitals had an overhaul in their coaching staff from the last mega auction cycle as they have removed Ricky Ponting from the head coach position and appointed Hemang Badani as the new head coach and coupled him up with director of cricket Venugopal Rao. Munaf is the latest addition to the overhauled DC coaching team and together they will look towards building a new future for the franchise now that Rishabh Pant is no longer the captain of the franchise either. Delhi Capitals announced their list of retained players on October 31. They decided to go ahead with Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Tristan Stubbs and Abishek Porel.
