West Indies wicket-keeper Shai Hope was involved in a hilarious missed stumping opportunity of MS Dhoni during the India vs West Indies game in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Hope took four catches during the Indian innings but messed up with the stumping chance to get Dhoni out. Hope also joined Jeff Dujon (15) in taking the most number of catches for a West Indies wicket-keeper at a single World Cup. The incident occurred when the 37-year-old was batting on eight. Kemar Roach had just removed Vijay Shankar (14) and Kedar Jadhav (7) to leave Indian reeling at 140/4 and West Indies were presented with a great opportunity to get one more wicket in the first ball of the 33rd over. Dhoni, stepping out to play Fabian Allen delivery had completely missed the ball but to his relief the man behind also missed it. Hope Gives Dhoni Hope:

It was a golden opportunity missed for the West Indies as Dhoni later went on to register a half-century and finished the innings with two huge sixes off Oshane Thomas. Meanwhile, Indian skipper Virat Kohli top-scored for India with 72 runs. He registered his fourth successive half-century of CWC 2019 and also became the fastest batsmen to complete 20,000 international runs. India posted 268/7 in 50 overs.
