MS Dhoni is currently serving the army in South Kashmir and has joined the 106 TA Battalion (Para). Dhoni, who has excused himself from the tour of New Zealand will stay in the valley until August 15, 2019, as he holds an honorary Lieutenant Colonel rank in the Army. Prior to this, an image surfaced online where MS Dhoni was seen posing for a picture with his buddy. The snap had satisfaction written all over it. In another picture, Dhoni was seen signing a bat as he met a few people in the uniform. MS Dhoni was last seen in action during India vs New Zealand CWC 2019 semi-finals where he scored 50 runs and could not save the team from losing the game. It was widely speculated that Dhoni will retire from cricket but even Chief Selector MSK Prasad or Virat Kohli gave no clarity about the same.
