MS Dhoni created a world record for himself as India went on to beat South Africa by six wickets in the team's CWC 2019 opening tie which was held at the Rose Bowl Cricket Ground in Southampton. MS Dhoni who also scored 34 runs, went on to become the first ever wicket-keeper to keep wickets for 600 international innings. MS Dhoni overtook Mark Boucher who kept wickets for 596 innings.
