In their latest pursuit to promote the ICC tournament and get fans more excited, Star Sports has roped in none other than MS Dhoni. The wicketkeeper-batsman, who also appeared in the broadcaster’s Indian Premier League (IPL) promotional advertisement, is seen punishing a fan for putting more pressure on India to lift the World Cup trophy. He, however, cheekily informs the fan that India is ready.

Star Sports had earlier launched their official hashtag of the World Cup campaign - #CricketKaCrown. And in their latest advertisement, they use the hashtag to engage in a cheeky banter with Dhoni and cricket fan, Vicky.

The video starts with Dhoni watching Star Sports’ previous advertisement on the World Cup, which shows all the 10 teams going to England for the tournament. In the ad, a fan can be seen telling an old lady that India will take the #CricketKaCrown (World Cup).

Dhoni calls the fan and asks him to do sit-ups for putting more pressure on India to lift the World Cup trophy. We already under enormous pressure, why are you putting more pressure on us by telling such things to the madam, says Dhoni to Vicky. Suddenly, Vicky’s phone rings, while he is doing sit-ups. He asks Dhoni for permission to receive the phone. But the ringtone is the same #CricketKaCrown song and Dhoni cheekily tells him that don’t receive the phone, the ringtone is good.

He also tells Vicky, now that you have already told the madam that we will win the World Cup, we will give it all. Star Sports Trolls England and South Africa in Its Latest Cricket Ka Crown Campaign Ahead of ICC Cricket World Cup Opening Match, Watch Video.
