Chennai Super Kings will play their first match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on March 23, 2019, in Chennai. Ahead of the opening game, Virat Kohli and the CSK skipper challenged each other in an IPL advertisement. The new IPL ad was based on the theme ‘Game Banayega Name’. The tickets for the match will go live soon. The BCCI has decided not to have an opening ceremony and donate the money to the martyrs of the Pulwama attack.
