What’s with MS Dhoni and sixes? The former Indian skipper, known for finishing matches with his trademark sixes, this time raced to a century with a six off Abu Jayed. Dhoni scored the century off just 72 deliveries. His innings comprised of eight fours and six gigantic sixes. He had come to the crease with India at 102/4 at the end of 22 overs. India had found it difficult to get going until that point. But Dhoni together with KL Rahul (108) registered a 164-run partnership to not just rescue India for trouble but also set them going towards putting a big total on the scoreboard.

The wicketkeeper-batsman has been in terrific form in 2019 and finished 2019 Indian Premier League season with 416 runs to follow it up with his good run of form against Australia in Australia. Thala, as Dhoni is known in Chennai where he plays for the Chennai Super Kings franchise, could not lead CSK to a fourth IPL title but took them to the finals. He single-handedly won many matches for the IPL franchise.

This is India's second and last practice match before the team heads to the actual games. India's World Cup campaign begins on June 5 against South Africa at Southampton and the last group game is on July 6 against Sri Lanka at Headingley, Leeds.
