MS Dhoni has been the most successful Indian skipper so far if we talk about overall figures. He is the only cricketer to win all the ICC global titles - ICC Champions Trophy in 2013, ICC World Cup in 2011 and ICC World T20I in 2007. As skipper of Chennai Super Kings, Dhoni has bagged three IPL titles during last 12 seasons.
MS Dhoni had successfully led the team India in all the formats i.e. T20I, ODI and Tests. Under his captainship, India also bagged the top rankings in Tests in 2009. He rose to fame as skipper after leading the Indian team in ICC World T20I in 2007 and clinching the title after defeating Pakistan in the final.
After India's ouster in ICC World Cup 2019, MS Dhoni opted out of the India vs West Indies tour 2019. He served the Indian Army in Kashmir, carrying out patrol duties with his Army battalion 106 TA Battalion (Para) in Jammu and Kashmir. He is also not part of the Indian squad in upcoming T20I series against South Africa.
