Indian cricketer MS Dhoni achieved a big milestone during ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 India vs New Zealand semi-final clash after becoming the second Indian cricketer to play 350 ODI matches. The former Indian captain plays his 350th match on Tuesday and stays only behind Sachin Tendulkar among Indian players to play most number of ODIs. In 350 ODI matches, MSD has scored 10,723 runs at an average of 50.58 in 296 innings. The Indian cricket legend has also smashed 10 centuries and 72 half-centuries in his ODI career so far, with his highest score being 183*. With 350 appearance in ODIs, MS Dhoni also equalled the record of former Sri Lankan bowler Muttiah Muralitharan, who also played as many ODI matches while playing for Asia, ICC and Sri Lanka. Overall, Dhoni is listed on the 9th spot while Sachin is the first. Sri Lanka's Mahela Jayawardene (448), Sanath Jayasuriya (445) and Kumar Sangakkara (404) have played more ODIs than the Indian keeper. Pakistan's Shahid Afridi (398), Inzamam-ul-Haq (378) and Wasim Akram (356) also lie ahead of Dhoni in the total number of ODI appearances. Australia's Ricky Ponting, who played 375 ODI matches, is also among the cricketers who have played more matches than the 38-year-old Dhoni.
