MS Dhoni Becomes First Indian Wicket-keeper to Effect 400 Dismissals in ODIs

Cape Town, February 7: Mahendra Singh Dhoni today became the fourth wicket-keeper to effect 400 dismissals in One-Day Internationals (ODIs) when he had Aiden Markram stumped during the third match between India and South Africa.
Stand-in captain Markram was beaten by a flighted delivery from chinaman Kuldeep Yadav and Dhoni was quick to whip off the bails in the 17th over of the innings.
Wicket-keepers who have more dismissals to their name than Dhoni are Kumar Sangakkara (482), Adam Gilchrist (472) and Mark Boucher (424).
India who is currently on a two-month long South Africa Tour has taken a 3-0 unassailable lead in six-match ODIs. After losing the three-match Test series 1-2, Team India has come back strongly in the shorter format of the game. India will next play Proteas in the fourth ODI held at New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.
