The former captain of India MS Dhoni is all set to get one more achievement under his belt. The wicket-keeper batsman is just 33 runs short of getting 10,000 ODI runs. If he gets this in today’s match against England at Trent Bridge, Dhoni will join the elite club which comprises players like Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar. He will be the forth Indian and 12th batsman in the world to get the feat. MS Dhoni will be the second wicket-keeper to reach the milestone of 10,000 runs. Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara was the first one to achieve the feat.

Talking about the 10,000 runs club, master blaster Sachin Tendulkar tops the list with 18426 runs in ODIs. Next in line is Kumar Sangakkara with14234 runs. Australia's Ricky Ponting too is in the list with 13704 ODI runs. Sri Lanka’s Sanath Jayasuriya and Mahela Jayawardene have scored 13430 and 12650 runs respectively. Next in line are Sourav Ganguly and Rahul Dravid with 11363 and 10889 runs respectively. West Indies’ Brian Lara also is part of the club with 10405 runs. Whereas Tillakaratne Dilshan is on the list with scoring 10290 ODI runs.

Dhoni’s career as a wicket-keeper also is quite praise-worthy. The right-hander has taken 297 catches and is fourth in the all-time list. Australia’s Adam Gilchrist tops the list with 417 followed by South Africa's Mark Boucher with 402 and Sangakkara with 383 catches.
