Teammates in the same camp until a few days ago to opponents on the field today, the episode between Prithvi Shaw and Mohammed Siraj was the highlight in the first semi-final match of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018, on October 17. The mini-battle between the two youngsters saw the contest between Mumbai and Hyderabad lit-up at Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, on Wednesday.
Hyderabad’s right arm pacer Siraj tried to sledge Mumbai’s Shaw as the duo engaged in a brief banter in the second innings of the match. However, it didn’t end well for Siraj, as Shaw hit him for a 6, 6, and 4 on the last three balls of the over.
The first half of the over saw Mohammed Siraj dominating Prithvi Shaw by bowling short-pitch deliveries. Shaw was in pain and visibly in discomfort to play those deliveries. On the second ball of the over, the youngster lost his bat, too, while playing the shot.

The first six was in the third man region, while the other was pulled over the fine-leg fielder. The third shot was pulled away too, this time towards the long-leg boundary.
