Mohammed Siraj made way into the team in place of Khaleel Ahmed at Adelaide in Oval. Little did he know that his debut in the second ODI would bring him an unwanted record. India is currently chasing a mammoth of 299 runs on the board. All thanks to the terrific innings by Shaun Marsh who scored 131 runs from 123 balls. However, Indian debutant pacer Siraj was in the news for the wrong reasons. India’s Karsan Ghavri had given away 83 runs in 1975 to England at Lord’s. Siraj stands on number two and Amit Bhandari is featured on number three. Siraj had played three T20Is before making his ODI debut. The pacer also went on to become India’s second most expensive run giver during his t20i debut. Talking about the match, Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. Shaun Marsh who scored the highest runs, hit 11 fours and three maximums. It was Bhuvneshwar Kumar who snapped four wickets giving away 45 runs. The pacer bowled with an average of 4.50. Mohammed Shami snapped three wickets and conceded 58 runs. Ravindra Jadeja got one wicket and bowled with an economy of 4.90. As of now, India has lost a couple of wickets on the score of 157 runs.
