Trouble continues for Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami as his relationship with wife Hasin Jahan worsens day by day. After Jahan accused Shami of domestic abuse and match-fixing, she now claims that the cricketer has falsified his real age in order to play for national and state-level cricket teams. Jahan claims that Shami has made a fake birth certificate and on Saturday she posted a photograph of a driving license believed to be of Shami’s. Jahan, however, later deleted the post.

As per available records, Shami was born on September 03, 1990. However, as per the photograph of driving license shared by Jahan, it reads Sahmi’s DOB (Date of Birth) as May 05, 1982. Shami’s estranged wife in her post claimed that the fast-bowler “fooled” the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) to play in age-group cricket.

“See friends, the real birth year of Shami Ahmed. He made a fake birth certificate and has fooled everyone by showing his birth year as 1990. He fooled BCCI, CAB and also public by making a fake birth certificate that allowed him to play Under-22 cricket. Imagine the injustice done to a genuine 22-year-old cricketer who was denied a place in the under-22 team because of Shami,” read Jahan’s deleted the Facebook post as per Hindustan Times.

This comes after, Jahan recently alleged that Shami and his family were planning to rape and kill her. "Those who are guilty of the crime should be punished. Even my case is similar to this. But I am alive. Even I have been subjected to what happened in that case. They had planned to rape me, kill me and then dump my body in a forest. It's been almost two months that I am fighting against all this," said Jahan.
