After former Indian cricketers Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir, many other Indian sports stars have applauded Indian Air Force (IAF) after it carried out strikes at terror camps at in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan, destroying control rooms of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). Apart from former cricketer Mohammad Kaif and out of favour Suresh Raina, present Indian cricket team member Yuzvendra Chahal tweeted in praise for the IAF. Apart from these cricketers, Badminton stars like Kidambi Srikanth, Saina Nehwal, and former Tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi also hailed IAF for its brave display. Since morning, social networking sites are abuzz with reactions regarding IAF air strike in Pakistan pouring from all corners.

This is the first time that India has taken a pro-active action using its air force across the LoC. Notably, even during the three-month-long Kargil conflict of 1999, IAF planes did not cross the LoC while hitting the positions occupied by Pakistani forces on the Indian side. Pulwama terror attack had led to nationwide outrage and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had vowed to punish those behind the attack, reported ANI.
